School Mission

Our goal is to help children preserve their heritage and the native-level Japanese skills through our school’s education. The students learn to read and write Japanese and enhance their cultural understanding. We provide a safe school environment for children to obtain the Japanese public school’s curriculum while living in the U.S.

 

Programs — Based on the Japanese school Age (students’ age as of April 2nd)

6 Elementary School Classes (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Grade level — children ages 6 and up)

1 Middle School Class (7th Grade Level)
Pre-K / Kindergarten Level Class  (children ages 5 & 6)
Mommy and Me Class (children ages 2 to 4)

Course Content

[1st to 7th grade Class]

Based on the Japanese Ministry’s curriculum guidance, we teach children according to their ability using Japanese text books in accordance with the school days.

Every Saturday:

9:40 a.m. ~ 12:15 p.m. ( 1st ~7th grade level classes: Three 45 minutes sessions)

[Pre-K and Kindergarten Class]

We will teach children in an enjoyable way, and according to their ability, to build up their vocabulary by teaching reading and writing of the Hiragana alphabet.

Alternate Saturdays:

9:40 a.m. ~ 12:15 p.m. ( Pre-K & Kinder level class: Three 45 minutes sessions)

[ Mommy and Me class]

Based on the first year of Japanese kindergarten curriculum, we will enjoy songs, story times and language usage with the parents.

Alternate Saturdays:

9:40 a.m. ~ 10:55 a.m. (Mommy and Me class #1: One 75 minutes session)

                                  11:00 a.m. ~ 12:15 a.m. (Mommy and Me class #2: One 75 minutes session)

 

[Adults – Japanese for beginners I]

Course Description
This course emphasizes speaking in order to communicate at a basic level in social and survival
situations in Japan. You will also learn to read basic messages, understand authentic dialogues. The
course also covers Hiragana and Katakana (the Japanese scripts).
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for beginners who wish to hold very basic conversation. No prior knowledge of
Japanese is required.

Alternate Saturdays:

9:40 a.m. ~ 12:15 a.m.  (Adult Japanese class: one 135 minutes session)
